Just when we were still catching our breath from our recent national ‘Creme of Crop’ award, we were invited along last night to Plymouth as finalists in the Westcountry Wedding Awards – a most prestigious event, regarded as the wedding industry’s version of the Ocsars.
Hundreds of people were in attendance, representing the very best of the Southwest’s wedding industry from Dorset to Cornwall. You can imagine how elated and proud we were to win the Best Wedding Transport award for 2012!
Sincere thanks to all of our lovely couples for voting and saying so many kind things about us. Of course, the real stars of the show were regrettably unable to attend, but we were happy to step in and accept the coveted award on behalf of Lola, Lulu and Lily!
Indeed, the evening panned out to be a tremendous feather in the cap for the West Cornwall contingent, with top awards also going to:
Best Wedding Film: Dove Films from Carbis Bay
Best Cornwall Wedding Venue: St Ives Harbour Hotel & Spa (Porthminster) St Ives – runner up: Carbis Bay Hotel
Best Reportage Photographer: Kiss Photography from St Ives
Best Designer Wedding Photographer: Khallie Siddiqui Photography from Goonhaven
Best Wedding Stationary: The Paper Princess from Penzance
Best New Business: Caketop Characters from Truro
Best Bridal Outfitter: Bliss Bridal Gowns from Truro
Best Floral Designer: Wheal Sara Flowers from St Ives
WELL DONE EVERYONE!
