Anna and Lee’s wedding on 27th April 2012
Despite a seemingly perpetually publicised drought, chauffeur Bob awoke once again to the disconcerting sound of running water on the morning of another grand jour and it wasn’t that dodgy tap washer!
Lola donned Navy blue ribbons today for Anna and Lee’s wedding at St Piran’s Church, Perranzabuloe and wore them with deportment fit for any royal occasion.

I, Chauffeur Bob, managed to play ‘dodge the rain clouds’ most of the way to Newquay this morning for my first pick up. Groom, Lee, Best Man, John, and Usher, Tristan, were ready to go upon arrival. A quick check and double check that nothing had been forgotten (tickets, passports, groom etc.) and we were on our way to St Piran’s church via Goonhavern, to collect page boys, Samuel and Jack.
It was then back to Goonhavern for a penultimate trip to the church with Bridesmaids; Sarah, Elizabeth, Carina and Flower Girl, Emily and a little sing song along the way.
On returning to Goonhavern for the final run with the bride, a previously impressively cool Anna was starting to show the signs of big day nerves. However, another little sing-along in Lola with Mum, Kay, and Chief Bridesmaid, Amy, helped tremendously. The weather was kind to us as we made our final approach to greet the expectant gathering so Lola had her roof rolled back to let in oodles of light and, of course, look ultra cool!

Mr. and Mrs. Carter emerged to glorious sunshine and a chilling bottle of champers as they boarded the topless Lola. Expertly corked by Chauffeur Bob and captured by photographer, Helen Barnecutt, we made our way to Fistral Beach with the lovely couple sipping on their champers and soaking up the great atmosphere and getting plenty of royal hand waving in.

We had a photo call at a beautiful, sun bathed Fistral beach, with Lola as ever causing quite a stir before departing to greet Anna and Lee’s guests at the Atlantic Hotel, Newquay for a 4pm reception.
By this time, the sky was looking menacing. Fortunately the rain held off for the main part of the day, but Lola did get quite a soaking as we headed down the A30 back to Strawberry Leisure HQ.
A honeymoon in the Maldives awaits Anna and Lee… just a shame that they don’t need a chauffeur to accompany them!
Very best wishes to a smashing, fun-loving couple XX
