Lily surfs-up a surprise for Lisa

Lisa and Ryan soak up the atmosphere and champers in Lily today at Tregenna Castle

Ryan managed to keep Lily’s involvement in today’s proceedings a complete surprise from his fiancée, Lisa, for an amazing 16 months right up until today!

St Ives was the destination today for Chauffeur Bob and Lily for a midday rendezvous with Lisa’s lovely bridesmaids, Alicia, Hayley and Karen along with Mum, Julie.  As is invariably the custom when collecting the bridal entourage from an heavily industrious morning of hair and make-up, we set off a little later than planned and made our way to Tregenna Castle, taking the ‘secret squirrel’ back entrance to avoid Lily being spotted by guests.

It was then off to spring Lily’s surprise on Lisa and whisk her and her Dad, Dave, off to the Castle, but not before an open-top tour of downtown St. Ives, something Dave had planned and was really looking forward to.

As always, a trip around St Ives in one of our splitties proved to be a moving occasion, the warm and enthusiastic reception really does have to be experienced to be believed.

We arrived at Tregenna Castle, 15 minutes or so later than planned (courtesy hair and make-up etc.) and again sneaked round the back for the bride’s pre-nuptial encounter with the registrar. This took place in the back of Lily to help catch up with the schedule!

With the statutory paperwork sorted, Lily was at last able to escort her bride and father to the main entrance for the official arrival, past their guests, now seated around the castle’s spectacularly situated pavilion.

The sun was beginning to burn through the clouds as Lisa and Ryan became Mr. and Mrs. Crook in a true fairytale setting.

Chauffeur Bob popped the cork, to the whirring of shutters. Lisa and Ryan stepped aboard, stood up, sipped and waved as we made our way into downtown St Ives with photographer Paul Caruana following close behind to capture some memorable moments. And this he certainly did with the help of Smearton’s Pier and Porthmeor beach and an incredible amount of royal hand waving in between.

A quick phone call to the lovely Katie at Tregenna Castle by Chauffeur Bob proclaimed his VIP’s imminent arrival at their reception.

This is the best job in world announced Chauffeur Bob… nobody disagreed!

Happy wedding day memories, congratulations and best wishes to Lisa and Ryan xx
