Rachael and Lea’s wedding at Breage Church on Saturday 25th May 2013 with campervan ‘Showgirl’ Lola.
Some of the finest weather this year heralded the start of a very busy day of weddings here at Strawberry Leisure. Whilst Chauffeurs, Steff and and Bob were escorting Lulu and Lily on other ‘journeys of a lifetime’ across the Duchy, Chauffeur Brett was entertaining with our celebrity ‘Showgirl’, Lola, for Rachael and Lea’s beautiful occasion.
It may surprise many of you but ragtop splitties are as rare as hen’s teeth. The Samba variant, such as our Lily, had them as standard. But then again Sambas are relatively rare – particularly in cream and white! However, the vast majority of splitties you’ll see from time to time are ‘Kombi’s’, just like our Lola and Lulu. What’s different is that Lola is the only Kombi we know of in the UK that has an original factory fitted ragtop. Pretty much without exception, Kombi’s are tin topped.
The ability to raise the roof on your wedding day really does create a very special kind of magic; the light, the standing, the waving, the reactions of onlookers, the photos… spellbinding!
Well today, like many, Rachel and Lea used Lola’s rare attributes to the full. What’s more, Sam and Joanne from Life Photographic were the couple’s chosen professional picture takers for their memorable day and they have in a flash (no pun intended) sent in a great selection of wonderful images for us to use on this blog. Let’s face it, you can’t beat the professionals, even with my own blogging Box Brownie, says Chauffeur Bob.
Pictures say a thousand words, so the saying goes, and the following images surely express in their own right what a simply fabulous occasion took place on Saturday 25th May 2013, in the vicinity of Helston, Breage Church, Rinsey and Barton Farm, Restronguet ….
Our very best wishes go to a lovely ‘upstanding’ couple x.
