The trip to your wedding venue is most likely to be one of the most nerve tingling and emotional of your life, and the journey to your reception the most wonderful and memorable of experiences – so  why not splash out and do both in style and luxury? It is vitally important therefore that your ‘big day’ transport figures highly in your overall wedding planning process.

To assist you we have included below an impartial transport checklist:

  • Which journeys will you need transport for?
  • How will the groom, best man and members of the wedding party travel to the ceremony?
  • Is transport required for guests?
  • Choose transport that’s in keeping with the style/theme of your wedding.
  • If logistically possible, you may wish to view the vehicle in advance.
  • How much does the company charge? Is there a minimum charge?
  • Is a standard wedding package offered? Is there a discount when booking extra vehicles?
  • Are decorations and champagne included?
  • What will they wear?
  • What kind of licensing/insurance do they have?
  • What is the contingency plan should your vehicle not be available on the day?
  • How far in advance will you have to make your booking?
  • What is the company’s policy on cancellation/postponement?
  • How much is the deposit to secure the date and when it is due?
  • When is the balance due?
  • Is VAT included in the final price?
  • Confirm dates, times and locations with a written contract, and reconfirm any bookings that you have made the week before the wedding.
  • Choose a wedding car in a colour that doesn’t clash with the bride’s bouquet or the bridesmaids’’ dresses.
  • Colour coordinate the car ribbon with your flowers and/or the colour theme of your wedding.
  • Make sure you can easily enter/exit the vehicle in your dress.
  • Have a bottle of champagne chilling on ice in the back of the vehicle for a post-ceremony celebratory drink
