2011 bookings now being taken for our new arrival – Lily our 21 window SAMBA

Due to the incredible success and popularity of Lola and Lulu, we have decided to make a further large scale investment into our acclaimed wedding transport business through the acqusition of  a 1964, 21 window Samba. 

The Samba went into production in 1951 and is the most sought after and valuable of all split screen transporters.

Lily, as she will be known was born in 1964 and like her siblings, Lola and Lulu  spent most of her working life in America. However, her interesting past centred around Sioux Falls, South Dakota - Sioux Indian territory!  

 She made the long trip to Cornwall in 2006 and was acquired for restoration by Strawberry Leisure in July 2010.

Over the next few months Lily will undergo extensive restoration inside and out and will be finished in the same cream and white livery as Lola.

Lily our new 21 window Samba will be available for chauffeur driven wedding hire from March 2011. So if you would like to book her you’ll need to move quickly!

Our graphics artist is currently preparing a lifelike reconstruction of what Lily will look like when fully restored – so watch this space!

Such is the popularity of Lola and Lulu they are continually making the headlines, locally and nationally.

Now that Lulu has teamed-up with her sister Lola offering spectacular wedding transport, we thought you would like a sneak preview of our new advertisement for 2010….

PS don’t really get snow down here – not in the summer anyway!

Such is the demand for our chauffeur driven wedding transport in our lovely splitties, we took the decision to remove Lulu from our campervan rental fleet during the summer. She has since been getting a further special makeover and is now dedicated to wedding transport only – sorry anyone who was looking to rent her for a holiday, but we have replaced her with Lenny, our handsome 1973 Bay Westy.

On Thursday this week, Lulu returned home from her makeover and was straight into action over the weekend and joined Lola for James and Sarah’s wedding at St Erth and reception at Carbis Bay.

Quite simply a headturning and absolutely unique, spectacular pair dont you think!

Lulu will shortly be arriving back here at Strawberry Leisure following her incredible ‘blinging-up’ session in the very capable hands of Alex and his guys at TRANSPORTERHAUS, Perranporth, here in sunny Cornwall.

Lulu, will be joining her equally as glamourous sister Lola providing a totally unique chauffeur driven wedding transport service.

Lulu prior to her ‘bling up’ pampering appointment!

Due to incredibly high demand, Lulu our amazing 1965 splittie from Texas is shortly to partner her sister Lola in providing exclusive chauffeur driven wedding transport.

As stunning as she already is, over the coming week Lulu is being treated to a ‘bling-up’ pampering session, so prepare to be dazzled! Following in the footsteps of Lola, she will get the full works, which will include; lowering, side step, shiny alloy wheels, low profile tyres, deluxe chrome trim and front VW badge.

Lulu will be available for wedding hire on her own or teamed up with Lola.  

Wow!  How cool they will look together! – How special! – How unique! – How Cornwall!

It really is so enjoyable bringing so much fun, happiness and lasting memories to our wedding couples and their guests. Without exception, everyone to date has been absolutely thrilled with Lola, our incredibly cool, classic VW, split screen wedding bus.
